Grandfather's Prayer for Today

GRANDFATHER’S PRAYER FOR TODAY.
Help me realise today that my real needs are always met and I will be able to learn what I need to know, if I have faith and trust.

Learn to let go of painful pretence.
Most people approach their troubles with one of these two non-solutions: they either pretend their problem isn't a problem, or they pretend they've solved their troubles with temporary cover-ups. But their pain remains. It doesn't have to be this way for you. You can learn to let go of painful pretence. Here's how. When facing an old problem, what you don't want is another "new way" to deal with it. What you really want is to learn something new about the true nature of what has a hold on you. To go far, start near. When faced with any pain, let go of what you think you know. Act towards your trouble as if you don't know anything about it. This new solution is the only true one because the truth is you don't know what the real problem is. Otherwise you wouldn't still have it. Letting go of what you think you know puts you in the right place for learning what you need to

Grandfather's Prayer for Today

GRANDFATHER’S PRAYER FOR TODAY.
My Creator, help me always to remain “teachable”.
Never accept defeat.
As long as it's possible to learn, you need never feel tied down by any past defeat in your life. Here's the real fact: nothing can prevent the inwardly self-educating man or woman from succeeding in life. And here's why: wisdom always triumphs over adversity. But to win real wisdom calls you to join in a special kind of struggle. And if this battle had a banner under which to rally, here's what would be written upon that higher call to arms: "But I can find out!" Yes, you can learn the facts. You may not know the real reasons why you feel so lonely or worried at times, but you can find out. And you may not understand how you could have been so blind to that evil person's real intentions, but you can find out. Take these four words that are freedom's battle cry. Use them to defeat what's defeating you.

WANI
The Four Directions.
Keyword------Lessons.
The dimensions of space and time established by the Four Directions are the source of harmony and proportion in the physical world. This means the way our senses teach us the beauty of Creation. The four directions contain all the qualities we can sense, and they also direct us to the four elements of ourselves Air, Water, Earth and Fire, as well as our spirit, emotions, mind and body, In the Creation story Tate, the Wind sent his sons to create the four Sacred Cardinal directions, the west, the east, the south, and the north.
Wani has a deep spiritual meaning to the Lakota nation teachings. Wa means 'snow' and Ni means 'life', as if to say, "I am alive now". The snow melts into the earth so we may all live; the seasonal passing nourishes the Circle of Life. The dimensions of time and space established by the Four Directions are mind and feelings. Life is so beautiful if we can sense all of the directions proportionally, and in harmony. For the teachings of life come equally from all directions.
Wani's message to us.
I am the wind that travels from the four directions, carrying and depositing the seeds of life. Like the snow, my seed disappears in to the Earth only to reappear in a new form.
I am the circle of your consciousness, which grows and expands, through experience, to the place of beauty, the place where all life is known to be celebration and joy.
I am the cry of the newborn child, who feels the first pangs of separation and wholeness. I am the cry of all life that comes into awareness of this mystery.
Dear ones do not stop that which is growing. Allow the garden of life to give freely of its gifts to you, in all forms, even until you drop the robe of this life, which is no ending but a continuation of the Circle of Life.

Guidance and Reflection.
The lessons of life come from each of the four directions. Some of these lessons are difficult, some immediately clear. There are those that take a long time to learn, others that immediately erupt, creating upheaval in our lives. There are important lessons that seem baffling, elusive. At any moment, a new lesson may be presenting itself to us, but we are not always aware of the gifts being offered. But we should always remember that no lessons are left unlearned, they just need a little more understanding.
So be awake to the lessons in your life. Open your eyes and take in the messages coming to you from all directions. Relax into the centre of the four-cornered circle, into the within the within. Allow the teachings to surround you and uplift you, taking you forward into new territory and new lessons. For this is growth, this is life, this is the beauty way.
Although at times you may feel as if you are being pulled in all directions at once, in a tailspin. Or you feel there is no support, trust and know that the lessons are always presented when you are ready and not before. Ask for direction and help and the teachers will appear.
Affirmation.
I acknowledge that the seed to all life resides within me. I will create a fertile place for this seed to grow, nurturing it with love, beauty. I will allow it create that what is for the highest good of all.

Grandfather's Prayer for Today

GRANDFATHER’S PRAYER FOR TODAY
Help me today, to keep an open mind and heart to be able to learn something new today
.
Watch for the opportunity to learn something new.
Everything is changing all the time. That means life is an endless occasion for learning something new. But this means more than meets the eye. Just as you're a part of everything, everything is a part of you. The whole of life is connected. And your ability to learn is part of the wonder of this complete, but ever-changing, whole. Learning serves as a window, not only into the complex world you see around you, but through it you may also look into the you, that's busy looking into the world. And when you've learned there's no end to what you can see about the amazing worlds spinning both around and within you, you'll also know there's no end to you. So stay awake. Learn something new every day. You'll love how that makes you feel about yourself.

GRANDFATHER’S PRAYER FOR TODAY.
Great One, help me today to face any problem—head on.
Don't take the easy way.
There's no getting away from what you don't know, which is why any time you feel compelled to go around a problem by taking the easy way, that problem always comes round again. And isn't that what makes life seem so hard? Learn to see the "easy way" as a lying thought that keeps you tied up and doing hard time. Getting something over with is not the same as having it completed. And as this insight grows, so will your understanding that the whole idea of the "hard way" has always been just a lying thought as well. Now you know: the complete way is the easy way. So volunteer to make the "hard way" your way and learn the real easy way.
