GRANDFATHERS PRAYER FOR TODAY
My Creator, help me today to understand that it is my choices and freewill
that will help me become my vision. Please guide me through these transformations so that I can become what I need to be.

If you are trying to become what others want you to be, or what you think others want you to be you, you are keeping your personal will and potential in denial. You cannot follow a set of rules or lesson plans. It is your heart's greatest joy that should take the lead. We cannot allow ourselves to conform that restricts our potential. Let your true self guide you and you will find the ingredients to become your vision-- in your own time and in your own individual way.
Is it time to get out of your own way and allow yourself to become?

Nature is our Greatest Teacher again

The saga continues. If you read my experiences with nature yesterday. My Friendly Oak tree was at it again this morning. I was walking the dogs just as dawn was breaking. I approached the friendly tree from the East facing West. It was very quiet with not a breath of wind. The Rising Sun was behind me and my shadow seemed to outline itself on the tree. I was drawn into the tree down into the root system and felt so relaxed and at peace. The tree seemed to be telling me to take time out to relax and meditate on the inner. To gather strength and consolidate. To feel stability and to let the coming changes gently flow through through you. Thank You dear friend.

You know sometimes we can take all the wisdom, teaching and sharing with each other as the major way we re-connect to the old ways and traditions. But even in these modern times spending a brief time in nature is still the best teacher for all of us at both a physical and spiritual level. For they are one and the same for there is no separation.
As an example I was out this morning walking my dogs. As usual I gave thanks to the Creator and all that he has given us. The Sacred directions around, above, and below us, and all my relations. I also always acknowledge two large trees where I walk as being the Grandmother and Grandfather trees of the wood. There is a special old oak tree that I visit most mornings, as she, (I call her she as I am sure she is a wise Grandmother Tree), always has words of wisdom to impart to me. Well, this morning as I approached her, a gust of wind blew and I was smothered in her falling leaves. I saw this a sign of one sort or another and what I got was the word CHANGES, which I have been getting for many moons now. She seemed to tell me more though about Changes. That changes are a natural way of things. As the Seasons change her leaves change into leaves that have done there job and now can be let go to be recycled by Mother Earth and Nature. She seemed to say also that we all have to let go of things that have done there job and move on. But we also have to withdraw into ourselves so the lessons and growth we have achieved over the past months can be assimilated inside of us, so we may grow stronger in the coming times ahead. As I said thank you and started to walk away, a crow flew over and landed in her branches. Was the keeper of the Sacred Laws ( Crow) telling me something also?
To me this is a good message that all of us may take heart from. That with the massive changes taken place in the world recently, and still to come, and that if we learn from changes we all will be better and stronger for it.
Whether we live in the City or the country we all have the opportunity to listen to Nature in one form or another. Maybe some of you out there have a teaching from nature that you wish to share?

Grandfather's Prayer for Today

GRANDFATHERS PRAYER FOR TODAY
My Creator, Help me today not to judge another,
and to be secure in my own Sacred Space

Petty Tyrants.
The little minded people who seek power over others never use encouragement. These devious petty tyrants work diligently to destroy the faith that others have in themselves, using criticism and covert hostility as their equalizers

Pettiness is a tragic shadow part of human nature. When people are so insecure that they have to belittle and act disrespectful to another, the shadows of self-rejection and self-hatred have a field day. It is evident to the astute observer that the same covert actions are undermining the petty tyrant as well.
The shadow keeps the jealousy circulating inside the little-minded in order to manipulate and control their despotic behavior It works! the one who wants control over others never realise they are being controlled by their own shadowy natures. In seeking to destroy other's faith in themselves and the faith and respect these same people have in others, the power hungry or insecure human has unknowingly undermined the Self's potential for true greatness.

Grandfather's Prayer for Today

GRANDFATHER’S PRAYER FOR TODAY
My Creator, May I always find the time to tell the Children a story, so in the remembering the children to come will also remember.

When we die, we become fixed as beads. Our stories knot us betweenancestors and children and the story adds us onto its thread.

GRANDFATHER'S PRAYER FOR TODAY.
My Creator, help me accept the changes and transformations in my life, with grace and humility and calm expectation.

When we feel coming changes, it is like an emotion that permeates deep within our senses. It is as if we know something big is about to happen, but we cannot put a finger on it. At times it can frighten us and make us want to look around future's corner, just to get a glimpse of what we cannot see from our human vantage point.
Coming change is one of the unique mysteries of life that sets our emotions spinning. It can be likened to a mixture of feelings that can shroud us like a blanket creating near panic. But this is a normal feeling of fear of the unknown. The normal feelings are normally two-fold. One of denial or numbness, the other being fearful expectations.
The normal process of transformation can be a wonderful experience if we do not let our minds get in the way. Just think of Mother Bear during the winter months. She will have withdrawn into her den to hibernate and allow natural transformation to take place. She is probably pregnant and her full belly will allow her to live of her fat as new life develops during this time. Until she emerges from her den in the spring, transformed herself as well as producing new life in her cubs.

Grandfather's Prayer for Today

.GRANDFATHER’S PRAYER FOR TODAY
My Creator help today, to awaken to life and be just me!

"The Awakening"
A time comes in your life when you finally get it...when, in the midst of all your fears and insanity, you stop dead in your tracks and somewhere the voice inside your head cries out...ENOUGH! Enough fighting and crying and blaming and struggling to hold on. Then, like a child quieting down after a tantrum, you blink back your tears and begin to look at the world through your eyes.
This is your awakening. You realize it's time to stop hoping and waiting for something to change, or for happiness, safety and security to magically appear over the next horizon. You realize that in the real world there aren’t always fairy tale endings, and that any guarantee of "happily ever after" must begin with you... and in the process a sense of serenity is born of acceptance. You awaken to the fact that you are not perfect and that not everyone will always love, appreciate, or approve of who or what you are... and that's OK. They are entitled to their own views and opinions. You learn the importance of loving and championing yourself... and in the process a sense of new found confidence is born of self-approval. You stop complaining and blaming other people for the things they did to you- or didn't do for you - and you learn that the only thing you can really count on is the unexpected. You learn that people don't always say what they mean or mean what they say and that not everyone will always be there for you and that everything isn’t always about you. So, you learn to stand on your own and to take care of yourself... and in the process a sense of safety and security is born of self-reliance. You stop judging and pointing fingers and you begin to accept people as they are and to overlook their shortcomings and human frailties... and in the process a sense of peace and contentment are born of forgiveness. You learn to open up to new worlds and different points of view. You begin reassessing and redefining who you are and what you really stand for. You learn the difference between wanting and needing and you begin to discard the doctrines and values you've outgrown, or should never have bought into to begin with. You learn that there is power and glory in creating and contributing and you stop manoeuvring through life merely as a "consumer" looking for your next fix. You learn that principles such as honesty and integrity are not the outdated ideals of a bygone era, but the mortar that holds together the foundation upon which you must build a life. You learn that you don't know everything; it's not your job to save the world and that you can't teach a pig to sing. You learn that the only cross to bear is the one you choose to carry and that martyrs get burned at the stake. Then you learn about love. You learn to look at relationships as they really are and not as you would have them be. You learn that alone does not mean lonely. You stop trying to control people, situations and outcomes. You learn to distinguish between guilt and responsibility anther importance of setting boundaries and learning to say NO. You also stop working so hard at putting your feelings aside, smoothing things over and ignoring your needs. You learn that your body really is your temple. You begin to care for it and treat it with respect. You begin to eat a balanced diet, drink more water, and take more time to exercise. You learn that being tired fuels doubt, fear, and uncertainty and so you take more time to rest. And, just as food fuels the body, laughter fuels our soul. So you take more time to laugh and to play. You learn that, for the most part, you get in life what you believe you deserve, and that much of life truly is a self-fulfilling prophecy. You learn that anything worth achieving is worth working for, and that wishing for something to happen is different than working toward making it happen. More importantly, you learn that in order to achieve success you need direction, discipline and perseverance. You also learn that no one can do it all alone, and that it’s OK to risk asking for help. You learn the only thing you must truly fear is fear itself. You learn to step right into and through your fears because you know that whatever happens, you can handle it and to give in to fear is to give away the right to live life on your own terms. You learn to fight for your life and not to squander it living under a cloud of impending doom. You learn that life isn't always fair, you don't always get what you think you deserve and that sometimes bad things happen to unsuspecting, good people... and you learn not to always take it personally. You learn that nobody's punishing you and everything isn't always somebody’s fault. It's just life happening. You learn to admit when you are wrong and to build bridges instead of walls. You learn that negative feelings such as anger, envy and resentment must be understood and redirected or they will suffocate the life out of you and poison the universe that surrounds you. You learn to be thankful and to take comfort in many of the simple things we take for granted, things that millions of people upon the earth can only dream about: a full refrigerator, clean running water, a soft warm bed, a long hot shower. Then, you begin to take responsibility for yourself by yourself and you make yourself a promise to never betray yourself and to never, ever settle for less than your heart's desire. You make it a point to keep smiling, to keep trusting, and to stay open to every wonderful possibility. You hang a wind chime outside your window so you can listen to the wind. Finally, with courage in your heart, you take a stand, you take a deep breath, and you begin to design the life you want to live as best you can.
